Eric Whitacre, normally known for his choral compositions and arrangements, personally requested Joby Burgess arrange some of his well-known works for Marimba quartet.
The sheet music for ‘Lux Aurumque’, ‘October’, ‘A Boy and a Girl’ and ‘Sleep’ is published by Hal Leonard.

During Spring 2020 as a response to the global COVID-19 Pandemic, 227 percussionists from 40 countries came together to perform Joby’s arrangement of ‘Sleep’.
PROMOTERS
The Joby Burgess Percussion Collective gave the premiere performances of Eric Whitacre’s Marimba Quartets at the RNCM Manchester in December 2019 and is available to tour internationally.
